What are cookies & local storage?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device via your browser. They let the site recognise you between pages and sessions — for example, to keep you signed in or remember a setting you changed.

Local storage is a browser technology that works similarly but with no built-in expiry date: the data stays until you clear it. Nguvu Fit uses local storage for things like your chosen display theme so it persists across visits without needing a server round-trip.

We use both cookies (for sessions and security tokens) and local storage (for preferences). Both are covered by this policy and subject to the same consent choices below.

2
How we use them
  • Session & security — keep you authenticated across pages, protect forms against CSRF attacks, and store your cookie consent choice.
  • Interface preferences — remember your dark/light theme selection so the interface loads in the right mode without flicker.
  • Analytics — aggregate traffic patterns that help us understand which features are used and where performance can improve.
  • Marketing — only on our public landing page; measures how visitors arrive to inform where we invest in growth. Never inside tenant gym portals.
